San Francisco's "Sunday Streets" on June 9, 2013, Features Adaptive Cycling

Join the SFMTA, Mayor's Office of Disability, Department of Aging and Adult Services, Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition for an Adaptive Cycling event on Sunday, June 9, 2013. Adults and youth with physical disabilities will be able to test and ride bicycles at Sunday Streets, San Francisco's ongoing seasonal program to designate selected streets as car-free zones open only to walkers, cyclists and other nonmotorized forms of transport.

BORP has the country's largest and most diverse collection of bicycles for use by people with physical disabilities and will offer orientation and training to new riders and allow use of their bicycles on the SundayStreets route. Handcycles, tandems, recumbent trikes, and therapeutic trikes will be available in adult and youth sizes.

Drop by Indiana and 19th Street on June 9 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to take a test ride!
