Nominate Your Favorite Bike Commuter!

Nominations are now open for the annual Bike Commuter of the Year (BCOY) Awards. Each year, one committed cyclist from each of the nine Bay Area counties is selected as the Bike Commuter of the Year. Like the Bay Area’s Bike to Work Day, which is sponsored by MTC, the awards are part of the many activities happening during National Bike Month in May.

If you know a rock star bike commuter, an inspiring bicyclist, someone who rides rain or shine, pedals their kids to school, or follows an amazing route day after day — nominate them for a Bike Commuter of the Year award! Award recipients will be recognized for their dedication to riding their bike for everyday transportation. Each winner will receive a set of bike lights from Mike's Bikes, dinner for four at Chipotle and a boxed set of beautiful San Francisco Bay Trail maps.

Nominations will be accepted through April 4, 2016. Visit youcanbikethere.com/bike-commuter-of-the-year/ to submit a nomination. Nominations will be evaluated and awarded in each Bay Area county. Winners will be selected in April and recognized on Bike to Work Day on May 12.
