Please note: The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) made the difficult decision to suspend our High School Internship Program and College Internship Program for the summer of 2020. MTC will be using this time to create a more robust and enhanced internship program for all of our student interns. If you would like to be kept apprised of future internship opportunities at MTC, please complete a Job Interest Card and select the Internship category.
At MTC, equity means just inclusion into a Bay Area where everyone can participate, prosper and reach their full potential. MTC's Equity Platform advances equity with a racial justice focus by investing resources for historically underserved, systemically marginalized groups including low-income and communities of color at a scale to meaningfully reverse the disparities in access that diminish the nine-county Bay Area.
MTC, BATA and SAFE are now located in San Francisco.
In May 2016, MTC along with its sister regional agencies, the Association of Bay Area Governments and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, moved into a renovated former US Postal Service building at 375 Beale Street. The Bay Area Metro Center, as the facility has been named, includes ample public spaces such as an auditorium and board room, a resource center, a cafe and on-site bicycle parking that will serve the community. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission is an equal-opportunity, non-discriminatory employer.
MTC provides all employees and applicants with an equal opportunity in every aspect of the employment experience regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, physical handicap, medical condition or marital status. This policy is implemented through an ongoing affirmative action program to ensure maximum opportunity to participate in the Commission’s program.
