The tolls you pay when you cross a Bay Area bridge go back into our transportation system. They provide needed seismic and structural upgrades and improvements that help decrease congestion.

Bridge Traffic & Tolls: 27 Years of Data

The following table shows the total number of toll-paid vehicles and the amount of toll revenue generated on all of the Bay Area’s state-owned toll bridges for fiscal years 1994 through 2020. Vehicles not paying a toll, such as emergency vehicles or carpoolers prior to Fiscal Year 10-11, are not included in these counts.
