Annual Statistics Report Looks at Transit in 2013

Friday, August 1, 2014

Did you know there are over 2,500 public buses on Bay Area roads? And over 420,000 daily trips taken on BART?

Those tidbits come from the brand new turquoise July 2014 edition of MTC’s annual “Statistical Summary of Bay Area Transit Operators.” One of MTC's most requested documents, the report is packed with financial and operating data, and performance statistics for 23 public transit agencies. This edition also includes graphs that display total passengers and current financial information for each of the operators — as well as visualizations of five-year trends throughout the region.

The report is available online, making it easy for transit operators, agencies, consultants, researchers, elected officials and members of the public to access comprehensive information on public transit in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. View a PDF of the document.
