In June of 2013, outdoor enthusiast Kurt Schwabe embarked on a life-changing mission to trek the entire length of the San Francisco Bay Trail over the course of a month — walking one segment a day, returning home at night and the next morning starting back up where he left off. His challenge was made all the more difficult by his commitment to get to the trailheads solely by public transit — with the help of a Clipper® card issued by MTC. Along the way, he met up with naturalists, Bay Trail supporters, the media and the like. An aspiring photographer, Schwabe documented his journey with photos, some of which are shown here, and daily blog entries.
