Bay Area Leaders Take Part in National #StandUp4Transportation Campaign

The National Highway Trust Fund is near bankruptcy again, as it has been year after year, because Congress has made no commitment to continue funding the nation's highway and transit needs. Local officials from throughout the Bay Area sounded the alarm at a joint press conference on April 9, 2015, timed to coincide with the national Stand Up 4 Transportation day of action. After ignoring the problem for years, the country faces dire consequences if Congress doesn't act, and the event's speakers drove that point home 14 different ways, as captured by videographer Mark Jones.
