Bay Bridge East Span Construction Update: Press Conference and Media Tour

Caltrans Spokesman Bart Ney leads the media on a virtual and actual tour of progress on the new Bay Bridge East Span, including the recent installation of the catwalks, which will allow workers to install the main cable on the self-anchored suspension span (SAS); the arrival of the last SAS deck pieces from China; the construction of the transition structure linking the SAS with the Yerba Buena Island tunnel; and plans for expediting completion of the touchdown in Oakland.
