Vital Signs data shows short-term improvement for our air quality. That's largely because of California's strict clean air standards and successful Spare-the-Air days enforced by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. But as our air continues a decades long improvement, we face other challenges with the ocean. Vital Signs data shows the quality of life here will be challenged in future years because of rising sea levels that will threaten many of our low lying neighborhoods.
