Pier Retention

As the old Bay Bridge East Span was being dismantled, and its foundation piers demolished by implosions, the decision was made to retain some of the piers as tangible reminders of the original span, with viewing platforms to appreciate the new East Span. One of the Vista Platforms is now open to the public.
