Bay Bridge Travelers

The Bay Bridge Travelers are not a rock band, they are the roving platforms that will be installed below the deck of the new East Span. For more than a century they will be used as an essential tool in performing bridge maintenance. The five travelers have been fabricated and shipped from Southern California. Mark Jones reports on their construction and the monumental problem of HOW to even get them to the port, to be shipped.
