FasTrak® Flex Makes Holiday Travel a Breeze 

A friendly reminder for Bay Area drivers: FasTrak® Flex lets you use Express Lanes and carpool lanes to get to your holiday destinations quickly – and you can easily pay for bridge tolls, too.

A FasTrak Flex toll tag is needed to use Bay Area Express Lanes, a 155-mile lane network designed to ease congestion and speed up travel on Bay Area freeways. Drivers that want to use the Express Lanes should check the overhead signs on the freeway to see the current price for Express Lane use and then set their FasTrak Flex toll tag to the correct  number of people in the car to save time and avoid a ticket.

Vanpools, buses and motorcycles use the lanes toll-free. Carpools pay discounted tolls or travel toll-free based on the lane’s requirements. Solo drivers of eligible clean air vehicles pay discounted tolls. Other solo drivers pay full tolls.
