September is Transit Month, and there will be activities all throughout the Bay Area to celebrate. The best way to get on board is by using Clipper® on your phone.

Join the Transit CEO Ride-Along on Friday, September 29 as they navigate the South Bay and answer your questions about the current and future state of Bay Area transit .

Your ticket to the party is Clipper: Set up your smartphone with either Apple Pay or Google Pay. Clipper will waive the standard $3 new-card fee for customers who choose Clipper on their phone. (Alternately, you can purchase a new plastic Clipper card, but a $3 fee will be charged.)

Clipper works on all 27 of the Bay Area’s transit agencies – train, bus and ferry – and you can also use it to access Bay Wheels bike share, BikeLink bike lockers and BART daily fee parking.

Conveniently pre-load Clipper funds on your mobile phone: Adding a Clipper card to Google Pay, to an Apple iPhone 8 or later, or to an Apple Watch Series 3 or later is easy. Apple customers can add the Clipper card directly through Apple Wallet and load cash value with Apple Pay anytime, anywhere. Customers with Android system phones running Android 5 or later similarly can add the Clipper card directly through Google Pay and load cash value anytime, anywhere.

Visit ClipperCard.com for more information about using Clipper on your phone.

MTC is the transportation planning, funding and coordinating agency for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. MTC operates the Clipper system on behalf of the region’s transit agencies.
