Help Us Plan for the Future of the Bay Area!
Adapted from a post originally published on The Bay Link, the joint blog of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG).
What should the San Francisco Bay Area of the future look like? Thinking about the year 2050, what would you like to see change about the Bay Area? What would you like to see stay the same?
MTC and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) want to hear from Bay Area residents as the two partner agencies develop a blueprint for how our region lives, works and plays in the decades ahead. What will the Bay Area look like in 2050?
Input received through this survey will be used to define the Guiding Principles for an exciting new initiative, called Horizon, launched by MTC and ABAG earlier this month. This effort will allow planners, policymakers and the public to wrestle with challenging questions about the forces that could shape the Bay Area through 2050. Learn more about the Horizon initiative in this post on The Bay Link blog.
Members of the public are invited to share their ideas for how to make the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area a better place to live for people from all walks of life. Residents also are encouraged to share the online survey with their networks – it is available in English, Spanish and Chinese and will be open through March 31, 2018.
Lastly, for those interested in staying up-to-date on each stage of this planning effort and how the public can get involved in the process, residents can sign up for the Horizon mailing list.
