Contra Costa Residents, Workers, College Students Eligible

511 wants commuters and college students to take transit instead of driving alone – and they are offering a $25 Clipper® card to encourage people to make the switch.

The free, pre-loaded Clipper card is available to adults who normally drive alone to get to work or school. If you live or work in Contra Costa County or are enrolled at one of more than a dozen participating schools, you may be eligible for the program.

There are some additional rules to qualify, and participants will be required to take a survey about the experience. For full program details, visit 511ContraCosta.org.

The Try Transit incentive program is made available with funding from Contra Costa Transportation Authority and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Clipper is the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card, accepted by all of the region’s 20+ different transit agencies. It’s the easiest way to pay for transit by bus, train or ferry. Load value, tap and go!
