Take Transit or Bay Wheels to Vote
Remember to vote this Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and consider riding transit (or a bike!) to take you to the polls or to drop off your mail-in ballot.
On Election Day, take advantage of free public transit rides in several Bay Area counties:
- All trips on Marin Transit local buses.
- All local and paratransit services on SolTrans in Solano County.
- All fixed routes in Sonoma County on Santa Rosa CityBus, Petaluma Transit or Sonoma County Transit.
- All VTA bus or light rail passengers can ride free to and from designated Santa Clara County polling or drop box locations, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Just tell the driver you're going to vote! Paratransit riders should first contact VTA for eligibility by calling 408-321-2381.
For all other transit agencies, Clipper® makes it easy to pay and ride public transit – just tap and go. Clipper is the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card and is accepted on all of the Bay Area’s transit agencies. To take the train, bus or ferry, just take Clipper!
If the thought of voting has you really energized, consider taking a Bay Wheels bike share bike to or from the polls. Bay Wheels is offering discounted bike share rides on Election Day: Riders can get 50% off the cost of one ride on November 5. To qualify, just add the promo code VOTE24 to your account before Election Day. (Quantities are limited.)
However you get to the polls, remember to vote this election season!
