Use FasTrak Flex® for Discounts on Tolls, Express Lanes
Bay Area FasTrak helps drivers easily pay for all Bay Area bridge tolls. FasTrak Flex® is a special kind of FasTrak toll tag that enables drivers to also use Bay Area Express Lanes.
A FasTrak tag is a small device that mounts on a vehicle’s windshield. Customers can pre-load money to their FasTrak accounts, and every time the FasTrak tag is used, the toll amount is automatically deducted from the prepaid balance.
A FasTrak Flex tag lets drivers indicate the number of people in the car, which then allows them to use Bay Area Express Lanes and receive carpool discounts on toll bridges.
Getting a FasTrak Flex (Or a Regular FasTrak Tag) is Easy
You can get your FasTrak or FasTrak Flex tag online, by mail, by phone or in person. Note: As a final step, all accounts need to be set up online, regardless of how you get your tag. Watch this video to see how simple it is.
- Online: Order your tag and set up your account all at once.
- By Mail: Print out this form and mail it to FasTrak, and your tag will be mailed to you.
- Phone: Call toll free 877-229-8655, or dial 511 and ask for “FasTrak” at the first prompt. Phone service is available Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- In Person: Visit the FasTrak customer service center at 375 Beale Street in San Francisco (Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.); or purchase a FasTrak tag at select Costco and Walgreens stores for around $25. Drivers may also add money to their FasTrak accounts with cash at more than 100 Cash Payment Network locations.
Using Your FasTrak Flex Tag is Even Easier
Before you begin your journey, simply move the slider on your FasTrak Flex toll tag to the position that matches the number of people in the car: one person, two people, or three or more people. And that’s it! Now, if you cross a toll bridge or decide to use Bay Area Express Lanes, any discounts will automatically be applied.
