Bike to Work Day: The Scene in Suisun City

In Suisun City, MTC Commissioner Jim Spering volunteered at the Suisun-Fairfield Amtrak Energizer Station, greeting bike commuters as they arrived at the train station and wishing those departing a great bike commute. As the longest-serving Commissioner at MTC, he remembers when the Bike to Work Day event attracted only experienced cyclists. “Today,” he said, “there is so much more enthusiasm for the event that it attracts average people to try bike commuting.”
