MTC Spotlights Governor Brown'sTransportation Funding Proposal

MTC analyzes details of Governor Brown's bold new transportation funding proposal in the packet for the September 11, 2015, meeting of the Legislation and Public Affairs Committee. The memo also includes the Brown Administration's one-page summary of the plan, which calls for a $3.6 billion increase in annual state transportation spending, including $400 million per year for public transit (with 50 percent targeted at disadvantaged communities), $1.6 billion a year for state highway repairs and $1.15 billion per year for local streets and roads.
