Agency leadership will welcome the Council, swear them in as councilmembers, and councilmembers will be asked to briefly introduce themselves.

Staff will provide councilmembers with an overview of MTC and ABAG, describe their roles and responsibilities, and answer councilmember questions.

Staff will provide an overview of the Ralph M. Brown Act, including recent amendments that took effect in 2026.
Agenda item5.
Staff recommends that the MTC ABAG Community Advisory Council adopt a meeting schedule with meetings to be held on the first Friday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noticed due to federally observed holidays.

Staff recommends that the Council formally adopt procedures for electing its leadership ahead of the April 2026 leadership election.
