Street Stories: Concord

Like other big cities in the Bay Area, the City of Concord has a massive backlog of street repair work. Years of underfunding have caused an 80- to 100-million dollar problem for its 300 miles of streets. The SB1 gas tax, passed by the legislature and signed by Governor Brown, is providing Concord with 2.7 million dollars which is being used to fix 119 residential streets this year.
