2027 TIP
The Bay Area's 2027 TIP includes more than 400 transportation projects with over $13.1 billion in committed federal, state and local funding for federal fiscal years 2027 through 2030.
MTC approved the 2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Transportation-Air Quality Conformity Analysis for the 2027 TIP on September 23, 2026.
MTC forwarded the 2027 TIP to Caltrans to be included in the 2027 Federal-Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (FSTIP) by reference. The 2027 TIP is anticipated to receive state and federal approvals in December 2026.

Public Comment
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Draft 2027 TIP and Draft Transportation-Air Quality Conformity Analysis for the 2027 TIP were available for public review and comment from Tuesday, July 14, 2026 through Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 5 p.m. MTC received 45 comments on the Draft 2027 TIP. These comments, as well as staff's responses, were presented to the Programming and Allocations Committee on September 9, 2026.
