Bay Area Partnership Board

The Bay Area Partnership Board gathers top executives from the region’s many transportation-related agencies in order to improve safety, mobility and air quality.

The Bay Area Partnership Board works to improve safety, mobility and air quality.

Top executives from many different agencies work to improve the region’s transportation network, including developing strategies for financing transportation improvements.

Complexity & Collaboration

The Bay Area’s natural borders have helped define the mix of urban, suburban and rural areas in the region. There are numerous methods of transportation, with many different system owners, operators and regulators.

This large network ensures that people can get to where they need to go, but also requires that the transportation agencies work with each other to coordinate services — services that often overlap.

In this complex environment, collaborating effectively depends on financial, institutional and informational connections. The Bay Area Partnership creates this strategic alliance to create a Bay Area that continues to thrive, support its citizens and invite travelers from around the world.
