The Regional Transportation Electrification (TE) Assistance Program will target gaps in existing grants to increase and speed up deployment of electric vehicle charging stations throughout the Bay Area. Through coordination with partners, the program will improve the experience for local government applicants and avoid overlap or conflicts with existing grant programs.

Partnership

The Regional TE Assistance Program will be developed with regional and local partners such as the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and community choice aggregators (CCAs).

Local jurisdictions will benefit as regional agencies better leverage staff expertise, working relationships with local governments and community members, and potential state and federal funding opportunities.
